A Sustainability Journey, Fashion and Clothing, Footwear

Bared Footwear is proud to share that we’ve been recertified as a B Corp, with our B Impact Score increasing from 95 in 2021 to 126.7 in 2025. For context, a score of 80 is required to achieve certification. For us, this improvement matters not because of the number itself, but because of what it represents: measurable progress across how we run our business.
B Corp certification isn’t a one-off achievement. Standards evolve, expectations rise, and recertification requires businesses to demonstrate real improvements across governance, workers, community, customers and environmental impact. Each assessment pushes us to look harder at our decisions, our supply chain and the systems that sit behind our products.

Our increased score reflects ongoing work across the business, including:
Footwear is a complex product with unavoidable trade-offs. We don’t pretend otherwise. What we aim to do is be honest about those challenges and commit to making better decisions over time.

Product development plays a big role in how we reduce impact. As part of our broader sustainability journey, we’ve invested in materials and design approaches that prioritise durability, performance and lower environmental impact.
Longevity matters. Making products that last (and that people actually want to keep wearing) is one of the most practical ways we can reduce waste and impact in our category.
We see B Corp as a framework that helps us stay accountable and focused on continuous improvement. Recertification shows us where we’re doing well and, just as importantly, where we still need to do better.
Sustainability isn’t about claiming perfection. It’s about setting clear expectations, measuring progress and being transparent about the journey. For us, B Corp remains one of the tools that helps keep us honest as we continue to evolve.
