If you’re looking for a hands-on, feel-good way to bring your team together and make a real difference, Business Clean Up Day 2026 is one of the easiest ways to do it.
On Tuesday 24 February 2026, businesses across Australia are invited to join Business Clean Up Day, led by Clean Up Australia. It’s a chance to step outside the office, work together and have an immediate, visible impact in the places where we live and work.
No long lead times. No complicated setup. Just practical action that adds up.

Schools and community groups across Australia have really embraced Clean Up Days in growing numbers, showing just how powerful local action can be.
When businesses get involved, it plays a unique role in helping that momentum grow too.
The $250 business registration fee doesn’t just support your own Clean Up. It also helps fund a Clean Up for a school or community group, effectively paying it forward and enabling others to take part. It’s a simple way for your business to extend its impact beyond your own team and support environmental action right across the country.
Business Clean Up Day officially takes place on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, but flexibility is built in. If that date doesn’t suit, you’re welcome to choose another day that works for your team.
Clean Ups can be held almost anywhere. Many groups choose locations close to their office or worksite, while others focus on known litter hot spots. Clean Up Australia also provides a Litter Hot Spot List to help guide location choices, which can be particularly helpful for businesses in industrial areas.
In most cases, meaningful impact is right on your doorstep.

Registering your Business Clean Up is quick and straightforward. Once you’re signed up, Clean Up Australia provides the tools and support you need to make your Clean Up a success.
You’ll receive a Clean Up Kit with bags, gloves and essential materials, along with guidance and resources to support planning and participation. There’s also access to the Business Clean Up Toolkit, which includes shareable assets and tips to help engage your team and communicate your involvement.
For many organisations, it’s a great way to use volunteering days, strengthen team connections and contribute locally while also supporting schools and community groups to do the same.
It’s designed to be easy, fun, collaborative and impactful for your team.

If you’d like to dig deeper into why this work matters and how collective action creates real change, the Chair of Clean Up Australia, Pip Kiernan, recently joined our founder, Kiarne Treacy, on the Sustainable Transformation Podcast.
It’s a great listen for anyone interested in the power of practical action and the role businesses can play in supporting community-led change.
Sometimes the most effective way to make progress is to simply show up… together.
