Solar Power Initiatives

Byron Jerky has been proactive in reducing their environmental impact by adopting solar energy. In 2013, they installed a 20kW solar power system, followed by another in 2016 upon moving to a thermally efficient premises. Their commitment to energy efficiency continues with plans to upgrade their solar generation to approximately 50kW by February 2022.

Committed to sustainability, all of Byron Jerky’s cardboard packaging is crafted from 100% recycled materials and is fully recyclable. The company is actively collaborating with suppliers to develop recyclable or compostable highbarrier plastic films for their products.
