Campos Coffee Sustainability Commitments
2024
Full PFAS transition in APAC
BioPak said it was on track for a full transition by June 2024 in the Asia-Pacific region to plant-fibre products with no intentionally added PFAS. PFAS are long-lasting industrial chemicals often linked to packaging concerns. Campos was named as a customer using these packaging changes, so this target matters to its cup and lid supply. The commitment is about removing intentionally added PFAS from the packaging range, not about coffee itself.
2024
Expand FSC paper packaging
BioPak said it was in the process of transitioning BioCups to FSC-certified paper and expanding the FSC range into SOS bags and pizza boxes. FSC, or Forest Stewardship Council, is a forest certification that checks how wood and paper are sourced. Campos was listed as a user of the supplier’s FSC-certified coffee packaging, so this future transition affects the brand’s packaging footprint.
2024
Roll out carbon labelling
BioPak said it planned to roll out a carbon labelling scheme in 2024. Carbon labelling means putting emissions information on products so buyers can compare impact more easily. Campos was mentioned as a customer in the same packaging report, so this would affect how its packaging is described to consumers if adopted across the range.
