Cleveland Indians Sustainability Actions

Waste diversion and recycling

The Indians recycled nearly 12 tons of fryer oil used to make bio-diesel fuel and implemented a variety of initiatives focused on reducing waste and conserving energy at Progressive Field.

Food donation program

The Indians donated roughly 9,500 meals to the Cleveland Food Bank.

Tree planting initiative

The Cleveland Indians planted a large number of trees as part of their Field for the Future program, which focuses on refurbishing inner city fields.
