Used renewable electricity

Repligen says it maintained 100% renewable electricity across its manufacturing operations in the United States and Europe. This means the electricity used at those sites came from renewable sources rather than fossil fuels. The company presents this as one of its main 2025 sustainability highlights and links it to lower environmental impact in its own operations.

Completed a materiality review

The company completed the first enterprise-level double materiality assessment, often shortened to DMA. A DMA is a review that looks at both how sustainability issues affect the business and how the business affects people and the environment. Repligen says this helped it decide which topics matter most and improved its readiness for reporting rules in Europe.

Raised board oversight

Repligen moved sustainability oversight to the Audit Committee at board level. This matters because it gives senior leaders more direct responsibility for data quality, governance, and risk control. The company says this change strengthens oversight and helps align its reporting with changing stakeholder and regulatory expectations.

Updated ESG and human rights policies

The company adopted new Human Rights and Sustainability & ESG policies and refreshed its global EHS policy. EHS stands for environment, health, and safety. Repligen says these updates align with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, which are international standards for managing environmental impact and workplace safety.

Published voluntary reporting

Repligen says it continues to publish voluntary sustainability reporting aligned with CDP, GRI, the GHG Protocol, SASB, SBTi, and TCFD. These are widely used reporting and climate frameworks that help companies explain emissions, risks, and goals in a more consistent way. The company says this is meant to make its disclosures clearer and more useful.

Improved workforce representation

The company reported higher representation at the Associate Director level and above. In 2025, women made up 32% of that group globally, up from 24% in 2024, and people of color made up 24% in the U.S., up from 17%. Repligen presents this as part of its people and leadership work.
