IMEKO SPA Sustainability Profile

IMEKO SPA is a scientific-based startup specializing in the recycling of cigarette butts. IMEKO is dedicated to efficiently collecting cigarette butts and employs a sustainable chemical technology developed by the company to eliminate their toxicity and recover the plastic cellulose acetate they are made from. This fully cleaned recovered cellulose acetate is transformed into a new sustainable raw material called Celion(r), which is used to develop new high-impact circular products.
