TSM Initiative Launch

In 2004, MAC and its members launched the Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative, which required facilities to report their energy use and GHG emissions.

TSM Climate Change Protocol

MAC released a new Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) Climate Change Protocol designed to support mining companies in managing climate-related environmental and social risks.

Performance-Based Reporting

TSM is a performance-based program whereby mining operations evaluate, manage and publicly report on critical environmental and social performance indicators.
