South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) Sustainability Profile

SANAS is the South African National Accreditation System and the only national body responsible for carrying out accreditations in respect of conformity assessment. SANAS accredits conformity assessment bodies in accordance with national or international standards and guides, providing internationally recognised accreditation certificates as formal recognition that organisations are competent to perform specific tasks. The system aims to create an impartial mechanism for organizations to demonstrate competence and facilitate the exchange of goods, services and knowledge, supporting government objectives across public health, environmental protection, and agriculture.
