Skincare’s environmental impact increasingly shapes how people choose what they put on their skin. At Enbacci, sustainability is built into how we develop and formulate our products.
No product can be truly sustainable in the strictest sense. Every formulation, ingredient and packaging choice carries an impact somewhere along the supply chain. What matters is how those decisions are made.
At Enbacci, it’s about reducing harm where possible, improving transparency and continuing to refine how our products are developed over time.
That thinking shapes everything we do.
Behind every skincare product is a process most people never see. Ingredients are grown, harvested and extracted, often at scale. That can mean intensive land use, high water consumption and reliance on chemical inputs.
Our formulations are built around fruit and plant stem cell technology. Instead of relying solely on traditional crop extraction, this approach allows key compounds to be cultivated in controlled environments.
In practice, this can reduce pressure on land and water use, avoid pesticides and fertilisers, and help protect biodiversity. We believe it’s a more efficient way to work with botanicals.
But ingredient innovation alone does not define sustainability. It’s one part of a much broader system.
Results still come first. That’s why our focus is on ingredients that deliver visible results. They are chosen and sourced with a considered approach to environmental impact and the people who chose our products.
Fruit and plant stem cells are known for their antioxidant properties. They help support the skin against environmental stress and contribute to overall skin health.
Ingredients like grape and apple stem cells allow us to create formulations that support hydration, skin integrity and long-term skin function.
For us, performance and impact are not separate decisions. They need to be considered together from the beginning.
Sustainability is not determined by a single ingredient or formulation choice. It’s the whole system.
We look at the full lifecycle of a product and where we can reduce impact and improve outcomes.
We assess how ingredients are sourced, including supplier practices and RSPCO status, to better understand environmental and social impact upstream.
Our packaging approach aligns with APCO’s Sustainable Packaging Guidelines. We are transitioning our packaging artwork to include the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL), helping customers understand how to dispose of packaging correctly.
Through our in-store hard-to-recycle collection program, we work with private recycling partners to divert waste from landfill and extend the life of materials where possible.
These are ongoing processes. Each one helps reduce impact, even if it does not remove it entirely.
There’s a lot of noise in the beauty industry. Claims, labels and messaging can quickly become overwhelming.
We take a more straightforward approach. Rather than positioning products as “sustainable”, we focus on being transparent about the decisions behind them.
That includes what we’re improving, what we’re still working on, and where trade-offs exist.
Because clarity builds more trust than claims of perfection that aren’t backed up.
Enbacci is proudly Australian-made, supporting local manufacturing and innovation.
But responsibility goes beyond where a product is made.
We see our role as contributing more broadly through initiatives that support education, communities and environmental outcomes.
These are not separate from the brand. They are part of how we think about long-term impact.
Consumers are asking better questions. They want to understand what sits behind a product, not just what it promises on the surface and we believe that’s a positive shift.
Our role is to create skincare that people can trust and products that are grounded in credible ingredients, deliver consistent results and reflect a more considered way of consuming.
Because sustainability is not about getting everything right. It’s about making better decisions, more often.
The future of skincare is already taking shape.
It’s one where ingredient sourcing becomes more efficient, where innovation supports lower-impact production methods, and where transparency is expected.
That’s the direction we’re continuing to build towards at Enbacci.
