Surveyed supplier sustainability maturity

As part of our commitment to source only from responsible suppliers, we surveyed 66 of our most regular partners to understand their sustainability maturity and identify where further support is needed. The results were encouraging: 74% of our suppliers are already taking meaningful steps towards sustainability through awareness and ad hoc initiatives, while 18% have formal ESG or sustainability strategies in place. Only 8% have yet to begin.

Introduced environmental icons

We’ve developed a series of Environmental Icons for our BoxNine7, AGCBTR and Bazaar London brands, which communicate the sustainability credentials of our products and suppliers at a glance. These icons reflect key attributes such as Organic, Non-Toxic, FSC Timber, Ethical, Carbon Conscious, and Diverse & Inclusive Supplier, among others.

Made to order: made in accordance with our customer's specifications to minimise wastage in production.

Reusable recyclable packaging

No Plastic Fantastic: 100% of product packaging is reusable or ‘widely recyclable’.

Upcycled furniture donation

This term we donated 16+ pieces of furniture, which were at the end of their AGC lifespan, for a first year BA Product and Furniture Design project focused on reimagining the role of furniture in interior public spaces. With UAL refurbishing and upcycling our old furniture, we're able to breathe new life into pieces that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

B Corp certification

In 2023 we were proud to become Britain's first B Corp certified Interior Design collective.

ISO 14001 certification

Sustainability measures have already seen us achieve our ISO14001 Environmental certification, and we are very proud to be B Corp certified.

2022 carbon audit and offset

In accordance with AGC’s Sustainability manifesto and our ambition to safeguard the environment and preserve its natural resources, we have undertaken a thorough Scope 1 & 2 carbon audit of our 2022 operations. Our Offset Strategy revolves around investing in Forest Carbon’s gold standard re-afforestation projects.
