Aigle Sustainability Actions

Purpose-driven company

Since becoming a purpose-driven company in 2020, Aigle has been growing responsibly by placing social and environmental responsibility at the heart of its strategy. In accordance with the French Pacte Law, becoming a purpose-driven company means Aigle is committed to achieving clear social and environmental goals, as outlined in its bylaws. A mission committee oversees decisions and contributes to the creation of an annual report on its commitments.

Aigle for Tomorrow programme

Aigle says its social and environmental objectives are implemented through its CSR programme, Aigle for Tomorrow, founded on three main components: Product, Planet and People.

Second Souffle resale platform

Second Souffle, Aigle’s second-hand platform, turned 4 in 2024. Customers can return old Aigle items in exchange for a voucher. 1,434 items were collected and resold in 2024.

Repair and collection services

Since October 2024, Aigle’s partner Green Wolf repairs technical clothing in all stores. All Aigle stores accept used clothing and footwear for recycling or repurposing through its partner I:CO.

Waste recovery at sites

Aigle sorts and recovers 100% of the waste generated at its Paris headquarters. In 2024, 665 tonnes of production waste were generated at its industrial site in Ingrandes-sur-Vienne, 59% of which was recovered.

Biodiversity support

Aigle financially supports bodies and organisations dedicated to protecting biodiversity. In 2024, it supported the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, became a member and patron of WWF’s Club Entreprendre pour la Planète, and invested in the Fonds Nature Impact.

1% for the Planet support

Aigle says its support was partly funded through 1% for the Planet, committing 1% of annual sales from key product lines (Tenere shoes and fleece).

Code of Conduct for partners

To promote good practice in ethical and human rights terms among suppliers, Aigle has defined a Code of Conduct applied to all partners. The Code of Conduct is aligned with the principles of the Global Compact, to which Aigle is signed up.

Social audits of suppliers

Aigle has put in place a social audit policy for its tier 1 suppliers. The policy is based on the Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability (ICS) and Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which assess and audit working conditions and support factories in a process of improvement.
