Aisle Sustainability Actions

Published impact reporting

Aisle publishes an annual environmental impact report and shares a supplier code of conduct with its manufacturing partner in Cambodia. It says its Life Cycle Analysis project compares the impact of its underwear, pads and liners to traditional tampons and disposable pads and looks at CO2 emissions, energy and waste created through the supply chains of raw materials, manufacturing facilities, production, transportation and use phase.

Introduced climate widget

In 2020, the company introduced a widget to its website that provides data on how its products compare to disposable period-care products in terms of climate impact, making the information accessible to customers outside of its reports.

Supports menstrual equity groups

Every year Aisle makes significant donations to equity-seeking groups who would not otherwise have access to its products. It also supports multiple menstrual equity initiatives and offers contactless product access through an e-voucher system that sends products directly to people’s homes.

Uses fair wages and fabrics

Aisle says it makes high-quality reusable menstrual products such as period underwear, menstrual cups and washable pads that use certified sustainable fabrics and pays fair wages to staff and contractors.

Hosted mending workshop

The brand recently hosted a mending workshop to help customers get more wear out of old Aisle products.
