Aktio Sustainability Actions

Carbon footprint platform

Aktio allows companies to measure and manage their carbon impact by themselves. The SaaS platform is made to accelerate a low-carbon transition and lets businesses measure their carbon footprint, define their carbon trajectory and action plan, concretely reduce their carbon footprint, and communicate on their low-carbon transition.

Audited methodology

The Aktio platform has been audited by the ABC (Association pour la Transition Bas Carbone), validating its compliance with the Bilan Carbone® methodology. Aktio experts are also trained with GHG Protocol and Bilan Carbone® methodology, and use ADEME and Net Zero Initiative (NZI) guidelines to build climate strategies tailored to each business sector.

CSRD guidance content

Aktio published guidance on how the CSRD and the Carbon Footprint align and interact. The article explains that conducting a Carbon Footprint assessment, including defining an action plan and a decarbonization trajectory, is a key step in meeting the publication requirements of the ESRS E1 standard.

Acquired by Apave

In March 2025, Aktio was acquired by Apave Sudeurope SAS. The acquisition was described as a way to strengthen Apave's sustainability and decarbonization capability and to create a new company, Aktio-Apave, combining Aktio's experts with Apave's Climate and Sustainability division.

Aktio Sustainability Commitments

2030

Carbon trajectory targets

Aktio says companies can define their carbon trajectory using international references to get their company in line with the 1.5°C or 2°C objectives, and the ESRS E1 standard requires target values for 2030.

2050

Long-term reduction targets

The CSRD guidance states that companies should publish greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and, when available, target values for 2050 as part of their carbon trajectory.
