Baxter Wood Sustainability Actions

Founded The Greenboard

In 2018, founder Kweku Larbi launched The Greenboard, a nonprofit that upcycles luxury items for auction, using all proceeds to fund education in developing nations affected by the influx of fast fashion waste. Customers support both sustainability and global education.

Uses natural materials

Baxter Wood says it is dedicated to manufacturing shoes according to the highest environmental standards. It uses materials such as natural rubber and 100% cotton and linen, which it says allow it to produce ecological footwear of the highest quality.

Uses certified materials

The company says it produces from certified materials. It also states that much of its products are vegan, and that vegan products are marked with a vegan (PETA approved) symbol in the product description.

Uses recycled plastic

Baxter Wood says its factories are strategically picked based on proximity to the largest natural rubber farms on the planet, and highest producing PET (recycled plastic to polyester) factories.

Highlighted sustainable style

BAXTER WOOD went live on TV with lifestyle expert Kathy Buccio to highlight some sustainable style choices to help dress during springtime, including Trawler raincoats, Hunter rain boots and more.
