UC Berkeley's Office of Sustainability is committed to advancing and integrating diversity, equity, inclusion and justice in its mission. The institution takes a comprehensive approach to sustainability goals and strategies, guided by its Campus Sustainability Plan. UC Berkeley has developed multiple planning frameworks including a Sustainability Plan, Integrated Resource Plan, Resilient Water Plan, 2025 Carbon Neutrality Framework, Green Labs Action Plan, and Zero Waste initiatives. The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) is the campus green fund, providing grants for sustainability projects funded by a student fee.
