Blooming Haus Sustainability Actions

B Corp and Planet Mark certified

Blooming Haus London is proud to be both B Corp® and Planet Mark® certified, reflecting our commitment as a truly sustainable florist in London and the UK. B Corp certifications are only awarded to companies with the highest verified social and environmental performance standards, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Planet Mark is a sustainability certification that helps organisations measure and reduce their carbon footprint, while demonstrating continuous improvement in environmental, social, and economic sustainability practices.

Funded trees through Ecologi

We're taking real climate action! Our sustainability impact partnering with Ecologi so far: 523 Trees Funded and 15 Tones of CO2 avoided. A large part of how we massively reduce our carbon footprint at Blooming Haus has a lot to do with our valued partnerships with not only Ecologi, but National Forest, Woodland Trust, and Trees for Cities. With their help, every year, we plant hundreds of trees in the U.K. and internationally.

Uses green energy and electric fleet

We use 100% green energy to power our studio. For smaller local deliveries, we partner with an emissionless company which delivers our arrangements using bicycles. Our fleet of vehicles is fully electric, thereby reducing emissions and participating in the fight to improve our cities’ air quality.

Composts and recycles waste

All our organic waste is composted and NOT sent to landfill. We avoid (where possible) using materials that are not compostable. Flower buckets and delivery packaging are always reused, sent back to our suppliers, or recycled. Carton boxes and all other recyclable packaging in which we receive our supplies are recycled.

Repurposed flowers and waste

We’ve experienced it firsthand with Confetti Club — who transform our used flowers into biodegradable petal confetti, with all profits going to charity. With Weez & Merl — who repurpose our LDPE waste (like cellophane wraps) into artful, one-of-a-kind vases that we use across events and corporate florals.

Joined floriculture initiative

Proud Member of The Floriculture Sustainability Initiative. As a member we’re helping drive improvements on sustainability key topics by implementing field and research projects. Results are shared and used within the network to strengthen practices and ensure progress towards the shared ambition.

Repurposed blooms after events

Roksanda Ilincic transformed The Barbican Centre’s iconic Brutalist architecture into a stunning setting for her show. Our luxurious runway florals anchored the space, seamlessly tying in with its bold design. Post-show, the blooms were repurposed into elegant bouquets for VIP guests, adding a bespoke touch.
