Achieved B Corp certification

BpH Wealth is now a certified B Corp. The certification process took over a year and has involved a great deal of consideration into how we currently run our business and what we could do to improve. We scored 96.4, making us comfortably over the minimum. Obtaining the Certification required a rigorous review of all of our processes, broken down into 5 sections: Governance, Environment, Workers, Community and finally Customers.

Adopted ESG investing approach

Responsible and sustainable investment is also increasingly important to younger people who are mindful of the environment and their impact on society. Morningstar defines sustainable investing as a long term investment approach that incorporates environmental, social and governance criteria; ESG. It can range from exclusionary screening, avoiding stocks of alcohol, tobacco, gambling companies and perhaps coal, to integrating ESG factors into the overall investment analysis.

Developed client values investing

We always work with clients to discover the purpose of investing. This involves discussing their values and what they want to do with their lives. When our clients are confident enough that they have enough money to meet their lifestyle aspirations they become increasingly interested in expressing their values in their portfolio. They might also target money at a cause that matters most to them.

Joined GAIA

That has now extended to a global association of advisors which I helped found. We now meet at least annually with advisors from Australia, New Zealand, Chile, The USA, Switzerland and so on. We have a global group that brings together the best ideas and the best speakers resources with one aim; getting better at what we do and serving our clients better.

Certified by CEFEX

We undertook the process of CEFEX certification, which is a global accreditation for fiduciary excellence. As a consequence of going through that process BpH became the first CEFEX certified planning firm in the UK and now three or four other firms have followed our lead.
