Launched the ICS platform

The Impact Classification System (ICS) is a self-assessment and reporting tool for investment practitioners developed through the IMP+ACT Alliance, a two-year technology project facilitated by Bridges Insights. Launched in June 2020, the ICS aggregates information about sustainability-related disclosures of investments and brings them into a consistent digital reporting format.

Supported ICS adoption

Following the successful roll-out to over 300 practitioners, the platform expanded its reach through connection with the GIIN’s IRIS+ system. Bridges Insights said it supported the development of an innovative technology solution that would further enable the growth of the impact investing market.

Developed the IMP+ACT Alliance

Together with over 150 organisations, the IMP+ACT Alliance developed the IMP+ACT Classification System. The digital platform aims to provide asset owners with comparable information that helps them to understand and label the impact occurring in their multi-asset portfolios.

Invested in decarbonisation

Bridges says its funds invest exclusively in solutions that help to decarbonise the economy, or enable more people to fulfil their potential. The Bridges Property Funds invest in needs-driven growth sectors that support the decarbonisation of the built environment, alongside better health and wellbeing outcomes.

Completed 2022/23 investments

In its 2022/23 Annual Report, Bridges said it invested over £200m and generated more than £140m of proceeds for investors. It also continued its focus on sustainable needs-driven real estate, with ten new investments across healthcare, low-carbon logistics and living, and completed three new platform deals from its Growth Funds.

Supported outcomes projects

Bridges said it supported six new projects in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Kenya via a new outcomes-based initiative for low- and middle-income countries, launched in partnership with the UBS Optimus Foundation.

Ran MIINT with Wharton

The Bridges Impact Foundation’s key initiative is the MIINT (MBA Impact Investing Networking and Training) program, which it runs in partnership with the Wharton ESG Initiative. It is an experiential training course designed to give students a hands-on education in impact investing.
