Responsible banking approach

This approach forms part of our vision of responsible banking, from which Bancaribe promotes actions oriented toward recycling, the circular economy and sustainability, recognising them as key axes to face current environmental challenges and contribute actively to the well-being of society.

UNEP FI signatory

These actions are aligned with our values and with the role we assume as signatories of the Principles for Responsible Banking of the UNEP FI, committed to integrating responsible practices into our decisions and operations.

Waste management with allies

We work together with allies such as Vitambiente and Fundación Tierra Viva to guarantee responsible management of our waste. Thanks to this joint effort we recycle paper, cardboard, glass and plastic, and carry out safe final disposal of toxic waste such as batteries and light bulbs.

Use of fibre-based paper

We have incorporated the use of paper made with sugarcane fibre, an alternative that allows us to keep advancing toward more conscious processes and respectful of the environment.

Recycling public material

Since 2024 we have recycled advertising material, transforming it to give it a new life and reduce its impact on the environment. This action reflects our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy by minimising waste and maximising resource efficiency.

Collection of unused cards

In the office network we promote recycling through the collection of unused cards to give them a second life, contributing to sustainable management and using the circular economy as a practical tool to reduce waste and maximise reuse.
