Bullfrog Power Sustainability Actions

Launched Brant solar project

Toronto, April 22, 2015—Today, Bullfrog Power®, Canada’s leading green energy provider, and Sustainability Brant Community Energy Co-op (SBC Energy Co-op) are announcing the launch of a new 250 kW solar project in the County of Brant at the Brant Sports Complex in Paris, Ontario. The project is a result of a partnership between the County of Brant and SBC Energy Co-op. Bullfrog Power was an early Supporting Partner of SBC Energy Co-op and has provided financial support for the project.

Supported renewable co-ops

Through the green energy commitments of bullfrogpowered individuals and businesses across Canada, Bullfrog Power is able to provide critical financing to support the development of new green energy projects from coast to coast. In Ontario, Bullfrog Power has supported twelve renewable energy co-operatives, including partnerships with Oxford Community Energy Co-operative and SolarShare.

EcoLogo-certified energy since 2005. All of Bullfrog Power’s green electricity sources since 2005 have been EcoLogo certified. This standard ensures that negative environmental and social impacts are mitigated throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Since we launched in 2005, our annual audit has guaranteed that the renewable energy our customers purchase was produced, accurately counted, and credited to those organizations.

Launched Environmental Tokens

Bullfrog Environmental Tokens are unique, immutable representations of Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs), a Real World Asset (RWA) digitized and secured on public distributed ledger technology (DLT). Each Bullfrog Environmental Token is one-of-a-kind, tied to a specific set of environmental attributes, making impact transparent and easily traceable.
