Environmental policy in place

Campbell Tickell’s Environmental Policy outlines its approach and commitment to the minimisation of Campbell Tickell’s impact on the environment. The company says it is responsive to the high standards expected of its clients and is committed in the conduct of its work to monitoring and seeking to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment.

Reduced travel through virtual tools

The company uses Teams/Zoom, videoconference and teleconference facilities wherever possible to reduce the need to travel. Where travel to client premises is required, it selects consultants who are based within easy reach, so far as possible.

Environmental awareness training

Campbell Tickell ensures that employees and associate consultants are fully familiar with up to date environmental issues and legislation. It also seeks to foster an understanding of the environmental issues arising from its business activities among employees, suppliers, contractors and customers.

Targets for resource use

The company works to ensure that the use of consumables and energy are kept to a minimum and only recyclable materials are used where available and practical. It also sets and achieves measurable targets for key performance criteria such as energy, transport, waste, emissions and water in order to monitor and report on environmental performance against an agreed baseline.

Partnership environmental checks

Campbell Tickell requires organisations working in partnership with it and those it sub-contracts to have their own environmental policies in place and to be actively monitoring their activities. It also works in partnership with its office landlords and attends regular meetings to discuss environmental and sustainability issues within the building.

B Corp status

Campbell Tickell says it is a certified B Corporation. In its impact report, it states that being a B Corp for two years has encouraged it to reflect on who it is as a company and to reset how it can operate more efficiently, improve processes for its teams and clients, while also growing and strengthening its team.

Volunteer leave and pro bono work

Under its Volunteer Policy, staff are able to take up to two days’ paid leave per year to participate in voluntary activities. In the past year, 64 volunteering days were completed by CT staff, who fundraised and volunteered for causes close to their hearts. The company also reports involvement in pro bono projects.
