Founded in 2016, Cape Byron Distillery is nestled on a once derelict dairy farm transformed by the Brook family into a regenerated natural sanctuary. Situated on a 95-acre plot, the family planted over 45,000 flora including macadamia trees and native rainforest plants to rejuvenate the area. Today, it not only operates as a distillery for Brookie’s Byron Gin but also as a biodiverse reserve supporting local wildlife such as koalas. Cape Byron Distillery prides itself on being a model of sustainable practice within the distillery industry, focusing on long-term ecological and community benefits rather than short-term gains.
