Chaumet International Sustainability Actions

WWF France forest partnership

Since 2025, Chaumet has worked with WWF France on a three-year project to protect and restore forest biodiversity in France, Japan, and China. The partnership helps fund nature projects in France through the Nature Impact Fund, supports two projects in Japan on Honshu, and backs sustainable forest management in China’s Taihang–Yanshan Mountains. This is a nature-focused action, not a full proof of wider sustainability performance, but it does show the brand putting money into biodiversity work.

Traceable gold launch

In 2025, Chaumet said it would guarantee full traceability for gold across its collections, starting with a Bee de Chaumet pendant. Traceability means the brand can follow the gold back through the supply chain, which can help with checking where materials come from and how they were sourced. This is relevant to responsible sourcing, but the public material does not show full independent verification of the whole collection yet.

Upcycled boutique uniforms

For Paris Fashion Week in 2025, Chaumet worked with FabBRICK to turn 312 kilograms of old sales staff uniforms into a display installation. Upcycling means reusing old material to make something new instead of throwing it away. The project was used as a visual example of circular fashion, where materials stay in use for longer. It is a creative reuse project, though it does not by itself show a wider change in the brand’s product system.

Lower-impact boutique transport

Chaumet and its parent group have said the Maison uses ship transport for boutique decor and manages its carbon footprint as part of its environmental work. Shipping goods by sea can create less pollution than air freight, although the exact savings are not given here. The public material shows this as part of a broader effort to reduce impact in operations, but it does not provide enough detail to judge how large the effect is.
