City University of New York Sustainability Profile

The City University of New York (CUNY) is exercising leadership in addressing climate change by reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions across its senior and community college campuses. Sustainable CUNY is an integral program of the Office of Sustainability and Energy Conservation within the University's Department of Facilities Planning. The institution focuses on three key pillars: CUNY Sustainability, Solar and Energy Resiliency. Campus Sustainability Plans were designed around seven key pillars to develop strategies and actionable steps to help college campuses become more sustainable.
