Gave old fabrics a second life

MyBestys was born in an old mattress fabric factory, a place filled with history and color. When I discovered the exceptional quality of the 1950s cotton fabrics, I realized they were a rare treasure, almost impossible to find today. Committed to sustainability and circular fashion, I decided to give these unique mattress canvases a second life by combining them with vintage fabrics from the iconic Castañer espadrilles.

Makes handbags in Spain

Our designs embody everything that defines us: handmade in Spain, high-quality upcycled materials, freshness, vibrant colors, and timeless chic style. I don’t produce outside Spain.

Uses existing stock materials

The essence of MyBestys is to create new things with existing materials, giving them a second life. I defend that without polluting more, you can make beautiful things.

Produces limited editions

They are limited editions because I have specific canvas, wool and leather and it goes as far as it goes. On the other hand, the linings are either made of shirt fabric or linen and everything is very well cared for.

Founded first store in Barcelona

At the beginning of 1994, I decided to incorporate myself into the family business and started my own (personal) project by opening in Barcelona what would become the first "Cristina Castañer" store.
