Upcycled food waste into products

CRUST upcycles food waste and surplus ingredients by transforming them into unique beverages and food products. With food and retail brands like Tiong Bahru Bakery, it has turned surplus bread and other surplus ingredients into a beer called ‘Beerguette’. It has also created a range of non-alcoholic beverages, such as sparkling water and sodas, from fruit and vegetable waste.

CRUST gives food waste and loss new value by turning them into unique food products using its fermentation and extraction technology.

Won Food Resource Valorisation award

CRUST Group received the Participation Award at the inaugural Food Resource Valorisation Awards 2021, which recognised projects in the pilot or R&D phase that convert food waste into valuable products and resources.

Worked with external partners

Travin Singh said CRUST works with a lot of external universities and other companies from the R&D perspective, and that people from his team have spoken to Professor William Chen with regards to certain R&D aspects.
