Amplifying BPOC voices

Culture Roots Collective is dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black and People of Colour in UK food and farming. We celebrate, inform, and connect individuals passionate about sustainable food systems, farming, and cultural food heritage.

Storytelling and community-building

We celebrate, elevate, and centre the voices of Black and People of Colour (BPOC) communities across food, farming, health and environmental spaces. This highlights the work of underrepresented BPOC individuals in agriculture and food, and inspires others to join the movement. Through storytelling, community-building, and knowledge sharing, we challenge systemic injustices and build a sustainable future rooted in cultural heritage and lived experience.

Learning hub and directory

The Learning Hub offers articles, resources, stories and events that centre BPOC experiences in food, agriculture and land justice. The site also invites BPOC people working in or leading organisations in the food and farming sector to join the directory, and allows users to explore diverse organisations and individuals working in the food and farming sector.
