Advised on ZEN's ESG report

Currie guided ZEN through the structuring, presentation and commentary around their materiality review and conducted a competitor analysis of sustainability targets to help ZEN set their own commitments. We advised on the development and presentation of sustainability targets, and reviewed alignment of the report with key standards, guidelines and frameworks including GRI and SASB Standards, the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Assessed ESG transparency with GEM

Currie also worked with ZEN, to assess its ESG report through the Global ESG Monitor (GEM). A global partnership, the GEM assesses and scores the ESG transparency of companies across the world.

Researched clean energy transition

After more than a year of research, one thing is clear to the Currie team – how essential farmers and farming communities are to the clean energy transition. Currie had been leading a project looking at renewables and their transmission from a global perspective.

Partnered with Researchscape

We partnered with Researchscape to survey Australians and find out where their trust lay. Of 11 groups, Australians chose farmers as the fourth and fifth most trusted for climate and renewables respectively.

Published ESG reporting guidance

Preparing an ESG or sustainability report for the first time is not always easy. It requires time, investment, capacity building and resources to build the foundation for ongoing reporting. However, by avoiding common mistakes made by first-time reporters, a company will remove pain points that limit the standard of their first ESG report – and of all the others that follow.
