Solar-powered manufacturing

The majority of our manufacturing facility energy comes from solar energy, and the water used to support our process is all captured, cleaned and reused.

Reduced packaging plastic

From 2019 to 2020, we reduced the thickness of plastic used in our packaging by 36%. We also reduced the overall size of our sellable unit packaging by 8%.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Because of our strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility, we have a strict Supplier Code of Conduct, and we work hand-in-hand with our suppliers to help them meet and even exceed our requirements.

B Corp certification

We have also been a B Corp since 2014, only a year after we first went to market in 2013. DeeBee's Organics Inc. earned an overall score of 98.2.

DreamLauncher donations

She created an initiative she calls DreamLauncher, which donates money to charities proposed by her team. Employees also get several annual paid days off for volunteering. DreamLauncher has supported salmon restoration in B.C., LGBTQ+ organizations and an orphanage in Honduras.

Its long list of other ESG initiatives includes using 100% solar-powered factories; composting food waste; reusing rainwater; offering employees stock options so they can participate in the company’s financial success; and a strong commitment to employee diversity and inclusion.
