Launched hemp fashion brand

After thorough research about sustainable and eco-friendly fashion, Salendra Gupta launched Ecentric in 2020, a fashion brand based out of Bangalore. It is a sustainable and affordable fashion brand that sells products for Men and Women across categories, such as lounge pants, yoga wear, co-ord, and 100 SKUs, all made out of hemp fabric.

Uses hemp fabric for products

All the products of Ecentric brand are made of hemp, which is one of the most sustainable fabrics. Apart from using eco-friendly fabric, the sustainable brand follows many other practices that make it an eco-friendly fashion brand.

Donates fabric leftovers

They also donate the fabric leftovers (called katran) to NGOs that create new products from the waste, supporting livelihood initiatives.

Built a hemp apparel business

The brand was launched with an initial investment of Rs 10 lakh and 30 SKUs. It now has 100 SKUs for Men and Women across categories, such as lounge pants, yoga wear and co-ord.

Reached EBITDA positive

In FY22, the brand made Rs 1.2 crore in revenue, which then increased to Rs 2.5 crore in FY24. However, they became EBITDA positive since the beginning of this year.
