Published 2024 impact report

Each year, Ecologi publishes its Impact Report to share the tangible difference its community has helped create. Its 2024 report highlighted the progress of the projects the Ecologi community supported over the past twelve months, and included, for the first time, its own greenhouse gas inventory and emissions management plan.

Funded trees and restoration

In 2024, the Ecologi community funded 9.97 million trees through reforestation projects across 13 countries and 5 continents, bringing the all-time total to over 87 million trees. It also funded 19,500 m2 of wildflower, wetlands and wildlife habitat for restoration.

Funded emissions avoidance

Last year, the Ecologi community prevented over 560,000 tonnes of carbon emissions through a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects. This included more than 179,000 tonnes through landfill gas capture initiatives, over 330,000 tonnes through nature-based forest protection projects, and an additional 53,000 tonnes through community-based initiatives such as fuel-efficient cookstove projects in Uganda and Kenya.

Funded carbon removal

In 2024, the Ecologi community funded over 21,000 tonnes of carbon removal. One initiative was Enhanced Rock Weathering, developed by its partner UNDO, and since launching ERW projects in July 2024, the community has funded 105 tonnes of carbon removal through this method.

Published green claims guide

Ecologi published a practical guide to navigating new regulations, building credibility, avoiding greenwash and fines. The guide explains how to make credible sustainability claims, avoid greenwashing, and stay compliant with the latest UK and EU regulations, including the Green Claims Code, Green Claims Directive, and VCMI framework.

Launched carbon reporting tools

Ecologi’s carbon accounting platform is built for full emissions strategy and compliance reporting. It measures Scope 1, 2 and material Scope 3 emissions, provides science-aligned near-term and net zero target recommendations, and supports Carbon Reduction Plans and SECR reporting.
