Green building certifications

ecoPreserve’s team provides transformative solutions, optimizing workplace operations while reducing environmental impacts. Since 2009, Alexa and her team have brought greater sustainability to scores of public, private, and non-profit organizations. The reductions in greenhouse gas emissions documented at those municipalities, companies, and agencies have reached and often surpassed compliance with global climate standards.

LEED and building programs

Before joining ecoPreserve, Mark held the position of Director of Sustainability at the University of California Merced, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing the LEED program, successfully certifying more than 30 buildings. He led the university’s efforts to achieve Carbon Neutrality, making UC Merced the first public research university in the nation to attain this status.

Port air quality improvements

The Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach have reduced DPM emissions by 91%, NOx emissions by 74%, and SOx emissions by 98% since 2006 through the Clean Air Action Plan. The Port of Houston’s carbon footprint has been reduced by 55% in the past decade, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has developed a Net-Zero Roadmap with over 40 emissions-reduction actions.
