Published 2023 sustainability report

EcoVadis published a sustainability report covering January 1 to December 31, 2023. The report says it follows global reporting ideas such as the UN Global Compact and GRI (the Global Reporting Initiative, a common framework for sustainability reporting). It also says the company is trying to be more open about its own work on diversity, equity and inclusion, fair business practices, and carbon management.

Uses external checks in ratings

EcoVadis says its ratings are not based only on what companies say about themselves. It combines company questionnaires with public reports and third-party sources, and it also uses a 360° Watch Findings process that looks at court rulings, government statements, press, and NGO reports. This is meant to make the score more evidence-based and less dependent on self-reporting.

Built supplier risk tools

EcoVadis says it screens millions of suppliers and uses a large dataset to help buyers spot sustainability risks in supply chains. Its platform includes risk mapping, continuous monitoring, and analyst-checked ratings. The company says this helps customers focus on the suppliers and issues that matter most before problems become public.

Offers training and improvement support

EcoVadis says a rating is only the starting point. It also provides e-learning, improvement guides, and the EcoVadis Academy, which gives practical help to companies trying to improve their score. The company says this support is meant to help suppliers understand what to fix and how to keep improving over time.

Runs sustainability events

EcoVadis hosts events and webinars on topics such as sustainable procurement, risk management, sustainability, and supply chain issues. These events are part of its wider effort to share guidance and help companies learn how to manage sustainability in business operations and supply chains.
