Farago The Label Sustainability Actions

Launched biodegradable swimwear

Farago the Label has pursued the same path to produce a 100 per cent biodegradable swimwear line. Made of biodegradable nylon, which is a polyamide obtained from natural fats and oils, the swimwear line uses their proprietary ‘Polyamide 6.6’ technology which allows the garments to decompose fully in 3 to 6 months.

Used recycled water in production

The production process is also ensured to be eco-friendly as their manufacturing units based in Brazil use recycled water instead of fresh water for processing.

Used leftover fabrics

Leftover fabrics are used into making beds that are donated to local shelters in Brazil.

Made small batch collections

Our collections are made in small, intentional batches using recycled nylon to minimize waste and reduce our environmental footprint.

Packed orders without plastic

Each order is packed without plastic. Instead of polybags, your suit arrives in a custom reusable tote, placed inside a biodegradable mailer that breaks down naturally in oxygen-deprived environments.

Worked with ethical partners

Our new collection of swimwear is thoughtfully crafted in a boutique, women-owned studio in Bali, where 95% of leadership roles are held by women. Our production partners operate under strict ethical labor standards, ensuring fair wages, access to healthcare, pension plans, and professional development opportunities. Team members work no more than 8 hours a day, and we proudly support single mothers and expectant mothers with maternity leave and guaranteed job security when they’re ready to return.
