Hosted ESG webinar

Join GreenSpark’s Director of Commercial Sales, Doug Weishaar, for a free, educational webinar on how businesses can meet ever-increasing ESG and sustainability goals AND generate additional profit with solar. Whether internal or external, sustainability goals and importance have increased dramatically for businesses in all industries.

Promoted solar incentives

Save big when you switch to solar now. NYSERDA Grant: The time-sensitive NYSERDA grant offers $0.25/W in savings for GreenSpark’s commercial customers (for projects under 1 MW). Equipment Depreciation: Businesses can depreciate their solar project, and through 2024 solar is also eligible for bonus, or accelerated, depreciation. Federal Tax Credit: Right now, businesses who switch to solar can receive a 30% Federal Tax Credit for solar projects.

Supported all-electric buildings

On May 2, 2023, New York State took a monumental step toward greener, more sustainable construction with the passing of the All-Electric Buildings Act. This bold legislation, part of a $229 billion state budget, sets the stage for a future free of fossil fuels in most new buildings. GreenSpark Solar says it is here to help you navigate the changes ahead and has compiled a guide to what the All-Electric Buildings Act means.

Explained IRA clean energy impacts

The Inflation Reduction Act provides $370 billion in funding for clean energy and environmental justice initiatives. A significant portion of IRA funding includes tax credits and rebates for homeowners, renters, and businesses to upgrade their homes or buildings to be energy efficient or to purchase clean energy equipment like solar panels, electric vehicles (EVs), and heat pumps. These incentives will be offered through 2032.

Installed solar for GM

As part of its commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2050, General Motors contracted GreenSpark Solar to develop, design, and install a 465kW solar array at its plant in Rochester, NY.
