Plastic impact tracker launched

Grove Collaborative launched the Beyond Plastic™ Impact Tracker, an exclusive tool that discloses the personalized plastic savings in each order and over their lifetime as a customer. The tracker shows how much plastic is avoided and recovered in each order and how that contributes to the Grove community’s collective impact.

Plastic-neutral since 2020

Grove Collaborative has been plastic-neutral since 2020, recovering the same amount of ocean- and nature-bound plastic from the environment for every ounce of plastic that is sold online and in retail stores. Since 2020, the Grove community has saved over 28,572,813 pounds of plastic and recovered more than 19,000,000 pounds of nature-bound plastic in places like Kenya, India, Indonesia, Colombia, and the Philippines.

Science-based targets approved

Grove Collaborative announced the approval of its Science-Based Targets by the Science Based Targets initiative. The approved targets include reducing Scope 1 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year, continuing to source 100% renewable electricity annually through 2030, and requiring suppliers to have science-based targets for purchased goods and services and upstream transportation and distribution by 2029.

B Corporation recertification

Grove Collaborative announced its B Corporation recertification by B Labs with a score of 100.9 points. The company said it has maintained its certification for more than ten years and became a Public Benefit Corporation in 2021.

Plastic recovery with rePurpose Global

Grove Collaborative collected 2.4 million pounds of plastic in 2023 alone in partnership with plastic recovery platform rePurpose Global as part of its plastic neutrality commitment, bringing its total plastic recovered to over 15 million pounds since 2020. In 2024, it collected 2.0 million pounds of plastic in partnership with rePurpose Global, bringing the company’s total plastic recovered to over 17.2 million pounds since 2020.

Ingredient standards expanded

In 2025, Grove expanded its banned and restricted ingredient list to more than 10,000 ingredients, including over 3,000 outright banned, covering hormone disruptors, microplastics, skin sensitizers, and indoor air quality concerns, informed by leading EU safety frameworks.

Conservation funding and support

Grove Collaborative partnered with The Nature Conservancy to support Indigenous-led conservation of 2 million acres of rainforest in Southeast Alaska and committed $1.5 million in funding through 2030. In 2025, customers also helped plant 25,914 trees and conserve 13,327 acres of land through Environmental Impact Shop partners.

Environmental donations and giving

Grove Collaborative said its flagship brand, Grove Co., joined 1% for the Planet, committing to donate 1% of annual sales to support vetted environmental organizations around the globe. The company also said it had donated more than $100,000 to 5 Gyres to support microplastics research and advocacy.
