Hanna Andersson Sustainability Actions

Organic cotton sourcing

Since 1995, we’ve sourced from suppliers using organic practices. Today, we work with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), using certified organic cotton free of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs.

Cotton in conversion

Less than 1% of the world’s cotton is organic, and there’s not enough to meet global demand. So, we’re partnering with cotton farms on the path to organic certification. Growing better, together.

Recycled content in collections

Every year, more of our collections — from swimwear to activewear — are crafted with at least 50% recycled content, giving new life to waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.

Hanna-Me-Downs resale site

Our Hanna-Me-Downs resale site is a marketplace to shop and sell pre-loved Hannas—and keep them out of landfills.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification guarantees that every fabric, dye, and trim has been tested against a list of 1000+ harmful chemicals, deeming it safe for the most sensitive skin. Our certification is Product Class 1 with the strictest requirements – safe enough for baby to put in their mouth.

GOTS certification

We certify our organic cotton collections to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the gold standard for environmental and social certification from field to fashion.
