Launched plastic blood study

Common Seas challenged Higginson Strategy to launch a new study that revealed plastic in human blood. Higginson Strategy provided Common Seas with both Public Relations and Public Affairs support to launch the research and the subsequent petition that received 100,000 signatures calling on the UK government to introduce a new £15 million National Plastic Impact Research Fund. The campaign secured more than 500 pieces of global coverage.

Supported Xampla messaging

Higginson has worked with Xampla for over four years, helping to distil its messaging, leading its press office and launching its consumer brand, Morro. Xampla began life as a University of Cambridge spin-out, producing a world-first plastic free solution made from plant materials. The growing business has launched a number of partnerships with global brands including Britvic, Croda, Gousto and 2M Group of Companies.

Ran anti-plastic campaigns

A Plastic Planet hired Higginson Strategy over six years ago, and they have worked together since to create campaigns including the Plastic Free Aisle and #SackTheSachet and launch the Plastic Health Council. The campaigns have played a role in securing plastic bans across the globe, including single-use sachet bans in the EU.

Promoted clean air legislation

Nature 2030 worked with the Ella Roberta Family Foundation to get clean air legislation passed in Parliament.
