Honey Cake Tiger Sustainability Actions

Planted trees for each item sold

With every item bought, a tree is planted in honor of their purchase. For every item we sell, we plant a tree with One Tree Planted.

Used organic and GOTS fabrics

Our garments are crafted from 100% organic cotton or GOTS Certified fabric, ensuring quality and sustainability. Most of our garments are made with 100% organic cotton or GOTS Certified Jersey which is made of 95% organic cotton and 5% spandex.

Made garments locally

All our collections are designed, cut and sewn on a small scale in San Diego, California. Most of our fabric is knitted and printed in Los Angeles, California from organic yarn imported from India. We strive to keep our production as local as possible, gaining a threefold benefit: reducing our carbon footprint by minimizing product travel, supporting local businesses, and building personal connections with the people involved in creating our clothing.

Turned fabric waste into products

Some of our accessories are made from our fabric waste. This mantra inspired us to turn our fabric waste into something useful and fun. We’re making a difference by transforming leftover fabric from our cutting process into adorable scrunchies, reusable garlands, and strings for our hangtags.

Used recycled packaging materials

Our shipping gear? Recyclable tissue paper and mailers made from 97% post-consumer waste. Our hangtags are crafted from 100% post-consumer recycled paper. We ship our products wrapped in tissue paper (not plastic bags) made from 97% post-consumer & post-industrial content, which is recyclable & naturally biodegradable.

Encouraged lower-impact care

For increased durability and to save energy, follow these instructions: Only wash when necessary; air-clean items. Machine wash cold, using delicate cycle. Line dry. Do not put in dryer. At Honey Cake Tiger, we encourage everyone to buy fewer articles of clothing, wash them with care, repair them, and pass them along through gifting.
