Achieved SKA Gold at Kensington

Huckletree Kensington was recognised with a SKA Gold rating - the highest certification for sustainable commercial fit-outs in the UK. A SKA Gold rating means we’ve achieved the highest level of sustainability across areas including materials, waste management, energy use, and indoor environmental quality.

Diverted construction waste

Over 90% of our construction waste was diverted from landfill, with repurposing and recycling built into the plan from day one. We avoided unnecessary strip-out and worked with sustainability-focused contractors across the project.

Used lower-impact materials

We used FSC-certified timber, low-VOC paints, and finishes that are recycled, recyclable or responsibly sourced - all without compromising on aesthetics.

Designed for lower energy use

Our energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems and controls are designed to minimise energy use without sacrificing comfort. Plus, we’ve made the most of natural light to create a calming, uplifting environment.

Opened sustainability-led hubs
