ImpactInstitute Sustainability Actions

Launched CSRD HUB

CSRD HUB launched by Impact Institute. The company says it sees the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) as an opportunity for organisations to grow, by strategically using CSRD for sustainable decision-making. It has already trained more than 500 professionals and 100 companies via the CSRD Academy and is now leveraging this pool of knowledge with the technical experience of building tools to measure impact. Its Double Materiality Assessment is now live, helping calculate and visualise materiality with a 5-step approach, including tooling for stakeholder engagement on all ESRS requirements.

Became PBAF knowledge partner

Impact Institute and PBAF became knowledge partners in a collaboration aimed at advancing practical knowledge on biodiversity impact and dependency assessment. The cooperation includes support in providing onboarding training to financial institutions that join as a PBAF partner, and both organisations will cooperate in a ‘Finance & Nature Toolbox’ program. The program consists of building a practical ‘Finance & Nature Toolbox’ guide, as well as implementing an awareness raising program, including training and webinars.

Embedded GID in Preqin

Impact Institute said its Global Impact Database (GID) will be embedded into Preqin’s ESG Solutions dataset. The collaboration is intended to help alternative asset professionals incorporate sustainability data into their decision-making and investment workflows.

Worked on LIKE-A-PRO

Impact Institute’s Food Transition team visited Wuppertal, Germany for a consortium meeting of the LIKE-A-PRO, a European Union-funded project that aims to accelerate the alternative protein transition. The company has been involved in carrying out a socio-environmental assessment of conventional proteins and alternative proteins, and said it is part of a large-scale project including private, public and academic actors across Europe.

Developed built environment handbook

In the first half of 2023, Impact Institute collaborated with Dutch built environment institutions on the project 'Mookly, Pilot on Impact Measurement'. The project aimed to quantify and monetise the societal return of a special new housing complex that additionally invests in social and environmental factors. In April 2024 a follow-up project was kicked off to create the first version of a Handbook Impact Measurement for the Built Environment, supported by and developed in collaboration with seven active parties in the built environment value chain.
