Focus on lived experience

Paul Klein, founder of Impakt Corp., spoke of the importance of involving beneficiaries (people with “lived experience”) in the decision making processes. Start with the people who work on/with the problem and involve them from the beginning. Involve the people impacted in measuring success. Community informed assessment. Meetings in the community, daycare, compensation, listen.

CSR criteria research

Research conducted by Impakt Corp., a Toronto-based advisory services firm and published in Forbes, identified five criteria for maximizing investments in CSR: business-based social purpose, clear theory of change, quality and depth of information, concentrated effort and partnering with experts.
