Rehabilitated eligible land

Rehabilitated 46ha of eligible land at Group-managed operations (2024: 39ha). Community upliftment project at Marula provided employment for community members to seed tailings side slopes.

Invested in employee accommodation

R299 million invested in improving employee accommodation and living conditions (2024: R215 million). Employee accommodation and living conditions remain key strategic issues for improving the wellbeing of employees and host communities in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Improved board representation

54% women representation on the board against a Group target of at least 50% women representation on the board (2024: 54%). 77% historically disadvantaged persons (HDPs) on the board against a Group target of at least 60% HDPs on the board (2024: 77%).

Supported safety and health

11 sites out of 18 sites at managed operations achieved safety millionaire status by recording at least one million fatality-free shifts in the financial year. An encouraging rise in the number of employees accessing mental health services, with a 52% increase in employees screened for mental health disorders.
