Made dancewear from recycled materials

Imperfect Pointes is the UK’s first sustainable dancewear brand, making leotards, unitards and mens tights entirely from recycled materials in Yorkshire since 2020. Premium convertible tights were added to the mix in 2023.

Uses ECONYL® yarn

We decided to make all our apparel with ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic recovered from all over the world.

Produces in Yorkshire

We are proud to make all your dancewear in Yorkshire in the UK in a small, family run factory. Because the factory is close by, we get to work with the garment workers who cut out, sew and trim all your leotards, unitards and tights.

Uses compostable packaging

We use 100% compostable packaging to avoid harming the environment. Our mailers are 100% compostable in your garden compost bin, or your household food waste bin. The mailer will breakdown in 3-4 months - not hundreds of years like a normal plastic mailer.

Launched pre-loved shop

That's why we're introducing our pre-loved shop featuring pre-worn pieces and samples.

Added QR code swing tags

Since 2024, every swing tag carries a QR code that takes you straight to our full sustainability credentials. No digging around. Just scan and see exactly what we stand for.

Funded tree planting

Since 2023, every order placed with Imperfect Pointes has funded responsible reforestation projects through our partnership with Ecologi.

Funded carbon removals

And from this month - April 2026 - we are also funding carbon removals. Every order, doing more.

Worked with Swedish Stockings

We recently ended our tights collaboration with Swedish Stockings. It was a brilliant partnership-but it ran it's course but helped Imperfect Pointes launch the world’s first ballet tights from recycled materials.
