Ingham’s Sustainability Commitments
2030
Cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions
Ingham’s says it wants to reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% by 2030 from its FY19 baseline. Scope 1 means direct emissions from its own operations, and Scope 2 means emissions from purchased energy. This is one of the company’s main climate targets.
2030
Set a Scope 3 target
The company says it will develop a Scope 3 greenhouse gas target by 2030. Scope 3 covers indirect emissions across the wider supply chain, such as feed, transport, and other outside activities linked to the business. The roadmap does not yet give the final target, only the plan to create one.
2030
Use more green electricity
Ingham’s says it wants to source 75% green electricity by 2030. Green electricity usually means power from renewable sources such as wind or solar. The company links this target to its wider climate action plan.
2025
Make all packaging reusable
The roadmap says Ingham’s aims for 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging by 2025. It also wants packaging to contain 50% average recycled content by 2025. These are packaging design targets meant to reduce waste.
2025
Increase women in leadership
Ingham’s says it wants women to hold at least 40% of leadership roles by 2025. This is part of its inclusion, equity, and diversity framework, which is meant to improve representation in senior roles.
2027
Raise product health ratings
The company says it wants all branded retail products to display a Health Star Rating and, where possible, to reach at least 3.5 stars by 2027. Health Star Rating is a front-of-pack label that helps shoppers compare how healthy packaged foods are.
