Reduced unnecessary packaging

Since 2020, we have eliminated all unnecessary packaging, reducing the number of boxes and cardboard included in our parcels, hence also reducing the size of our parcels. We no longer produce boxes for our cleanser and toners. In only 2 years, 5123 less boxes were used and shipped, reducing our impact on the environment.

Uses recyclable packaging

The boxes that our products are packaged in are carbon neutral and FSC Certified. Our cream bottles are 100% recyclable and produced by a company with IIP Gold certification and Gold Ecovadis sustainability rating. Our serum droppers are manufactured by a company which works with 100% renewable energy.

Offsets parcel emissions

Each JB Skin Sävvi order and parcel is carbon neural. The carbon footprint of each package is estimated based on weight and distance traveling to you. From this estimate, JB Skin Sävvi offsets the carbon emission by protecting and planting trees in the Great Bear Rainforest located in British Columbia, Canada.

Purchased land in Lapland

As an extension of our founder’s Finnish heritage, JB Skin Sävvi purchased 8 acres of land in Lapland, Finland in 2019. The Helsinki Foundation is a non-profit foundation established for the purpose of either directly or indirectly promoting the long-term conservation of nature.

Donates to Le Chaînon

Every year we donate time and funds to support Le chaînon. So far JB skin Sävvi has DONATED $3,406 generating 6,683 meals for women in need.

Hosted a skin care workshop

In 2022 we also hosted an in-person workshop to educate women on how to take care of their skin.

Moved lab to Montreal

The certifications sparked even more change for the company, including moving its lab from Vancouver to Montreal to ensure its work was done within a 200-kilometer perimeter and tweaking a few product formulas.
