Joe Merino Sustainability Actions

Timeless essentials, no sales

We don’t make seasonal collections, but only styles that will serve you year in year out. For the same reason we never do sales, because we never build stocks that have to be destroyed. Slow fashion in the true sense.

Uses Merino wool

What’s more, wool is one of the more sustainable materials because it is fully biodegradable. Merino wool is 100% naturally renewable and biodegradable. Unlike synthetic fibres Joe’s 100% Merino woollen clothes do not add to the microplastics pollution of our oceans.

Free repair and recycling

Starting with the choice of material, the wellbeing of the sheep, the use of as few chemicals as possible, working conditions in the spinning mills and workshops, responsible choices of transportation and packaging methods, right up to our free repair service and recycling scheme.

Animal-friendly wool sourcing

We use the most durable materials and production methods where possible. We buy animal-friendly wool and are always talking to our suppliers about best practices, right down to the sheep farmers.

Machine-washable garments

Since 2011 we have been developing the perfect Merino wool basics for men who believe stylish doesn’t have to equal fussy. And throughout we have always stuck to our principles: Refined, luxurious, high-quality, sustainable, in a wide range of colours at the best possible price. And to top it off – All Joe’s should be machine-washable.

Travel Collection blend

Joe’s Travel Collection gets you everywhere and you can take Joe’s Travel Collection anywhere. Specifically designed for men on the move in mind. Made from a unique Wool Tech blend of Merino wool, recycled polyamide and elastane.

Care and maintenance advice

Merino woolmaintenance. Easy to refresh: The antibacterial properties of Merino wool make Joe's clothes last a long time without washing. Often your Joe just hanging out overnight is enough to be able to handle him fresh the next day! Easy to wash: All of Joe's clothes can be washed in the washing machine on the wool wash program (max 30°, max 600 rpm).
