Certified supply chain materials

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) ... backed by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. FSC Chain of Custody certification verifies that FSC-certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and non-controlled materials as it makes its way along the supply chain, from forest to the market.

TENCELâ„¢ Modal fiber

TENCELâ„¢ Modal is an environmentally responsible fiber by Lenzing AG, that is consciously extracted from naturally grown beech wood, produced with self-sufficient energy that minimizes environmental impact. TENCELâ„¢ Modal fibers are biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil, and marine conditions.

Annual process certification

All dyeing, spinning, knitting, and manufacturing processes are inspected, accessed, and certified annually by ECOCERT according to the Global Organic Textile Standards. They are also audited according to the ISO 14001 standards of measurement, as well as by the Aid by Trade Foundation for the Good Cashmere Standard, Control Union Global Recycle Standards, and accredited by the Cashmere & Camelhair Manufacturers Institute.

Ethical ostrich feathers

LAPOINTE is committed to ensuring ethical and sustainable practices are met and maintained through its use of ostrich feathers. LAPOINTE exclusively engages with suppliers who abide by the State Veterinary Officers’ Standards and only work with certified sources; guaranteeing animal welfare and the FiveFreedoms are upheld.
