Levante UD becomes one of Spain’s pioneering clubs integrating environmental traceability into football operations. The initiative aims to recover and recycle approximately 100 metric tons of plastic waste over the season — a commitment that includes both matchday waste and materials generated during major summer events held at the stadium.

Levante UD provides the platform — opening up its stadium operations to apply a robust, traceable waste management system during every home match at the Estadi Ciutat de València. Leonardo GR takes charge of collecting, sorting, and managing all plastic waste generated at the stadium, ensuring that no recoverable material ends up in landfills.

Plastic credits and reporting

Plastiks applies its blockchain technology to verify and record every kilogram of recovered plastic, converting it into unique, traceable plastic credits backed by real environmental data. The result is that Levante UD can monitor its environmental performance transparently and in real time and provide verified data aligned with ESG reporting standards.
